I think of you all with love every day,, maybe a little more on Veterans' Day . I marched in the Veterans' Day parade and met a lot of wonderful veterans.
Yesterday was a bit tougher. I was at a Holiday party with some Homeless Vets, some who were living in the facility for the Blind, some who were at shelters and some living in the Veterans' "homes". It was a wonderful time and we had a live band, danced and ate tons of food. Lots of tears when everyone had to go back to where they came from. Then I went back home to get ready for a $60.00 per plate dinner for work, where people were doing a fund raiser, making ridiculously high prices for auction items, dressed in gowns and jewels. I couldn't eat my dinner and had to wonder where the balance is. I know which group I would rather spend my time with.

Your post made me realize a few things, how much you are a part of all of "this", how little balance ever exists in this world, the cost of being a veteran, the cost of staying a veteran, as many don't . Your realization and participation in all these things makes me envy and admire you. Thank you Kat
